(Spring)

ENGLISH

Definition

A spring is a move below the support of a Wyckoff accumulation range that quickly reverses back inside it. Wyckoff analysts read it as a test of remaining supply; not every accumulation has one, and a move below support that does not reverse is a breakdown, not a spring.

Example (hypothetical)

In a hypothetical 60–70 range, price dips to 58.5 for two sessions and then closes back at 61. That dip-and-return is studied as a spring.
