ENGLISH

Definition

A doji is a candlestick whose open and close are equal or almost equal, so the body is a thin line. It records indecision during that period; on its own it does not predict direction, and its meaning depends on where it appears.

Example (hypothetical)

A hypothetical daily candle opens at 75.30, ranges between 74.60 and 76.10, and closes at 75.31. The near-zero body with wicks on both sides is a doji.
