FOMC คือคณะกรรมการของธนาคารกลางสหรัฐ (Fed) ที่กำหนดนโยบายการเงิน รวมถึงกรอบเป้าหมายอัตราดอกเบี้ย federal funds มีการประชุมตามตารางปีละแปดครั้ง แถลงการณ์นโยบายออกเวลา 14:00 น. ตามเวลาฝั่งตะวันออกในวันสุดท้ายของการประชุม ตามด้วยการแถลงข่าวของประธาน และบันทึกการประชุม (minutes) ออกหลังจากนั้นสามสัปดาห์

Definition

The FOMC is the Federal Reserve body that sets U.S. monetary policy, including the target range for the federal funds rate. It holds eight regularly scheduled meetings a year; the policy statement is released at 2:00 p.m. Eastern on the final day, followed by the Chair's press conference, and minutes appear three weeks later.

Example (hypothetical)

2:00 p.m. Eastern is 01:00 the next day in Bangkok during U.S. daylight saving time and 02:00 in U.S. standard time. The schedule is on the Federal Reserve's FOMC calendar page.
